    Dependant On Technology

    I agree completely my Mitutoyo stuff never is turned off and the Batteries last years at a time. The Chinese copy needs a battery every month even when turned off. Peter

    Concrete counter tops??

    Hi Andrew; Check at Home Depot, they have a high strength concrete mix for just such things. I have seen it in London and found out it's not stocked at all stores. Rona lists the same mixture under Bomix brand. Peter

    All projects on hold for now...

    Hi Andrew; My suggestion would be to use the steel top on a wooden framework. For my last lathe I built a steel bench with three sides enclosed and the front open with shelves, used 10 guage steel. Very stable but turned out to be a good sound amplifier, OK in the shop but not the house. Peter

    Nut drivers etc...?

    Hi Andrew; My small nut drivers are Moody tools # 58-0420, the set is from 5/64''-5/32'' five pieces US made. Princess auto has small wrenches, kinda crappy but they do fit alright. Peter

    Agree with the Teflon, also works well for ignitor, valve body and carb. gaskets also. Something else I came up with lately is die cut layers of household aluminum foil, soft enough that is seals dry and thickness is adjusted by using more or less layers. Currently using in two farm style...
