    Small Ignition Coil Drive Question

Yep you are correct I did this with a cheap coil that I had a few just to see. It lasted a lot longer than I expected matter fact I ran an engine with this coil for several years before it pooped out on me. Worse is not giving the coil a place to discharge the secondary windings will eventually...

John Builds Kerzel Hit & Miss

I use a coil pack from an auto and run on 6v with no problem. I use a resistor to bring the resistance to around 2 ohms and run with a hall with ignition boards that I made. You can also use a tm6 board as long as you use a ballist to bring the resistance to around 2ohms. I've ran it on current...

    Small Ignition Coil Drive Question

Not sure they are the same but I used coil packs before I started winding my own coils to reduce the size down to the size of a letter D battery. Here are the ones I used with very good luck at 6v but they are 12v...

Small lathe tool post quick change

This is the tool post quick change I made and use on my lathe. I originally designed it in pencil back around 2004 I later put it into cad around 2008. I have made a few of these and given them to friends of mine. Not extremely hard to make and prforms very well.

    Stirling engine helicopter

LOL that maybe my winters engine project. I have started to model it up in cad last spring and worked on it a little here and there this summer. I usually pick an engine to build over winter and do a video log of it. I have 2 engines right now that I'm thinking of and like I said this is one of...

John Builds Kerzel Hit & Miss

Just turn up some plugs they don't need to be pressed on. They are there to keep wrist pin in place and keep wrist pin from making contact with cylinder wall. Usingwrist pin plugs is so you don't need any other means of keeping them in place. Just put a small plug on both sides and no need to...

    Cutter grinder

The setup I built does the ends of endmills plus the sides doing primary and secondary relief angles. I am very happy with it and have sharpened a lot of endmills with it. It really didn't cost a lot to build. If I were guess it was under $150 since I had the metal and the only cost was the...
