On the Emco machine high speed can only be engaged when the machine is already running in slow speed. Pushing on the high button when the machine isn’t running will not do anything, won’t move at all.

Table came as part of a bigger purchase. Had no use for it at the time, but it got thrown in as part of the deal. Only takes a couple of minutes to install it and it’s really solid.

Here’s what I did on my lathe. Removed he compound and added the table. Was boring the crosshead on my Mery Engine. Engine base mounted on a plate that was bolted to my angle plate.

My mentor taught me that if you really want a centered hole use the most appropriate size ball end mill that you have, it will not walk off center and will leave perfect sides to guide the drill.

I call it “lateral gravity”, you drop it and almost before it hits the floor, it’s going sideways! Often easier to make another part, and 3 days later the dropped bit is laying in plain site.
