Makes sense, the harder you resist a centrifugal pump the more it stalls and power transition drops. The harder you resist a tesla pump, I presume the tighter the spiral would get, letting it transmit more power rather then less. Or at least that's how my fuzzy brain sees it.

Rapeseed? It was used by all sides as a lubercant because it wets metal but was inedible due to it's acid content. Some Canadian scientists used early gene manipulation and came up with CANada Low Acid oil or Canola which was edible and let those war time grease production fields become food...

They use veggie oil with friction additives in environmentally less unfriendly hydraulic oil.

Is the air you are blowing about volume, pressure, mass or velocity? If it is about velocity... have you considered adding a flame can to the blown air to superheat your air stream a la thermojet?

There are papers out there, easy to find, on multi stage/compounded tesla turbines. They look promising. Single pass through multiple units. Maybe one tesla for the blower and a second stage for the power generation? blowing air is still the primary goal right?

I would trade my hybrid with it's bomb, Oops I mean Li battery, for a system with a FES without even thinking about it. That would make so much more sense then a battery! Thanks for the links to read up on. I thought the F1 just used EGR units and batteries, had no idea they used FES.

That makes intuitive sense, now that you've said it. Are you thinking flat nozzles with openings that cover across all the blades to produce sheets of air like air knives, or random holes?
