Can you remove anodizing color from aluminum?

That's what i mean about such controls being pr. If they were really concerned, isopropyl alcohol would be highly controlled.

    Sandblaster!!!

Big jugs of blue silica are cheap on amazon. The cobalt indicator salts turn pink when saturated, which is handy. It can be regenerated in an oven. For head lights try novus 3 then novus 2. Cheap on amazon. The key is to lightly load the buffing cloth and use as little pressure as possible.

Can you remove anodizing color from aluminum?

And RDX and trinitrotoulene and nitromethane and nitroglycerin and... lots. It's easy enough to distill that having controlled %'s is just PR. I've dumped nitrate salts into hardware store HCl to etch metals. Dump nitrate salts into sulfuric acid and you can nitrate organics. It's all very silly.

    An "old" NEW member

I find it usable albeit a steep learning curve. It's stable and still free for personal use with minimal restrictions vs a paid license. Since you have some experience with it, maybe it would be a little easier?

    Have you tried Fusion360?

Can you remove anodizing color from aluminum?

Depends on where you live. In many places it is regulated above a certain %. Your friendly neighborhood hydroponic shop probably carries it in the 10%-15% range as "pH down". Thats where I bought it, in my youth, to give HCl some kick when analyzing samples of stainless steel I made from raw...

A New Method (?) to Dynamically Change Cam Timing when Engine is Running

Seems to make sense to me. I have been planning to attempt the same thing with an externally driven differential gear - having one output fixed but adjustable and the other driving a cam, so rotation of the fixed output is actually an input, adding or subtracting from the rotation of the cam...

    Steam engine on compressed air

This^ It's the difference between SCFM, ACFM, and ICFM. This might help https://www.thecompressedairblog.com/whats-the-difference-between-scfm-acfm-and-icfm#:~:text=Three%20of%20the%20most%20popular,flow%20rate%20at%20standard%20conditions.

    Sandblaster!!!

Now you just need a dryer and to make sure you don't exceed your compressors duty cycle. Sand blasting is notorious for ruining compressors by exceeding the duty cycles.

    Sandblaster!!!

Anything with esters in it will crystallize poly carbonate rapidly. Dawn dish soap, scents, synthetic compressor oil, used glow sticks etc. I used to demo this by putting used glow sticks into a Nalgene bottle and leaving it somwhere warm for a week. After a week the bottles shattered like...

    Sandblaster!!!

These systems only get your air to 100% relative humidity. You really need a dryer after them to have dry compressed air.

    Sandblaster!!!

Install a ventilation fan if you lack one, so the fine dust gets sucked into a filter.

    Compressed air and air drying

I'd never heard of a "Frazinator" before but my seperator works on a similar principle. The top Tee connects to the tube and piston in the lower pictures. Air enters and lifts the piston while flowing out through swirl vanes which aspirates the water and blows it up along the sides of the tank...

    Axial Swash Plate Feed Pump

Ways oil for your lathe and mill is the same stuff, #2 ways oil. I was just wondering if you were repurposing #2 ways oil which is ISO-68.

    Axial Swash Plate Feed Pump

By chance is that "ways oil" you are using? Hydfaulic oil is probably a good choice as it's non detergent. Off the shelf air compressor oil might work. It's typically single weight iso-100 aka sae- 30 weight. Compressor oil, not air tool oil. It'll also be non detergent.

Have you tried a heavier oil yet?

    Compressed air and air drying

I've seen people go as simple as a coil of copper in a cooler with bags of ice and then a water seperator, it must work well because you can literally buy such units. Just bulkhead fittings a cooler and coils of copper iirc for over a grand usd.

    Compressed air and air drying

The PAL one sorta gives you what you give it. If you drain it regularly it works well. It's continuously miss labled as a dessicant dryer which it is not, it is a deliquesant dryer that uses pellets of magnesium chloride and salt. So if left sitting full of water between uses, it will rust. You...

    Compressed air and air drying

I am a big fan of silica beads for my plasma cutter and for HVLP but for sandblasting you probably want one of those big Mg pellet units that habour freight sells, or you will be changing the beads in the dryer all the time. Somthing like this...

    Compressed air and air drying

Hey, thought I would share a few tips on compressed air and humidity after reading some users comments on humidity in their systems and controlling it for dry processes like sand blasting. Water traps are great, I use a home built water trap that pulls air from the compressor via the drain...
