Model engine CDI easy and cheap

Already posted a circuit and details on a cop type coil from a BA falcon...runs on 3v7 LiPo and NO driver required. Obviously you missed it.

Model engine CDI easy and cheap

The only reference to what you say as I can remember is, this is for the 4 pin DC CDI module which are all the same as far as I know. Obviously my circuit will not work with the HV (300-400v) 5 or 6 pin units. One link is here anyhow, just about to order a few more. In this instance from here...

Model engine CDI easy and cheap

Update for the original CDI Easy and Cheap. Recently found that some find the soldering on the small pads difficult and they sometimes damage the pcb traces. Seemed ok for me though but I just didn't want to have to add the leads for everyone so re-design easier. Decided to update the CD add-on...

    Arduino Rotary Table for Dummies

Yes, I have the same query. #488 says go to some web site, that website tell you to come back here....seems typical of some of these writeups.

Fuel for compression ignition engines (around 1 cc) - diesel model air plane engines

There are other alternatives out there for fuel as, if like down under here in Aus, ether is almost unobtainable. Mention ether and they are likely to call ASIO these days. I have details on the alternatives somewhere, just have to find them. I do have a dark brown glass 0.5 litre bottle of the...

Advice from me would be, as this is your first engine, start with something simple like the Simple Simon single cylinder engine I included here some time back. It might feel to you like it is "below you" but believe me, you will have enough to do there to keep you going for a while. Plus you...

We do sand casting from timber patterns all the time with no problems. Internet is full of useful information on how to do it correctly.

    4 Cylinder Inline Engine

................... goto #23. While you are there, rethink all this brass material (won't last) and the o'ring rings (yuk) nylon cam gears 2 x yuk.

    Aluminium casting problem.

Do you use any cleaning flux or any hydrogen (not nitrogen) gas pellets in your crucible with the molten aluminium? https://www.alalloycasting.com/degassing-of-molten-aluminum/

    4 Cylinder Inline Engine

Only needs to run on the exhaust valves, the induction are poppet valves as already stated. The exhaust valve stems are obviously the longer ones as shown previously. I'm curious which way the engine runs from the flywheel end........ I know which way it should run but........ ?

So called "long runs" in real life use interposing relays. End of the b/s.

Protection to Micro lathe power supply?

Well now see...I've been an electrical contractor for 50 years or more and certainly do not require a link to a site that explains how you amateur mob think a circuit works.

Protection to Micro lathe power supply?

No it doesn't.....not by the relay...which is why I asked, what is the purpose of the relay?

Protection to Micro lathe power supply?

............and just what is the relay supposed to do?

Protection to Micro lathe power supply?

ACS712 (appropriate range possibly the 30A device) and Arduino. You can do with it whatever suits.

Is this rod appropriate for piston rings & cylinder liners?

There is a good reason why spun cast is used for rings.

Brass will last about as long as it took to install them. Bronze on the other hand...............

    4 Cylinder Inline Engine

I doubt 2500 rpm would be considered anything critical, normally, in fact will be more like idle speed. Built quite a few running and frequently used engines in my time(without needing any whirring motion calculation....what evere it might be) and this simply doesn't look right without any...

    4 Cylinder Inline Engine

Rev limit will have zero bearing on how much your crank will bend. I can see it being a problem running unsupported over that distance.
