Use a small T type tap handle with a hole at the end of it for the tip of the spring loaded guide. As others have stated-tapping the hole straight is important. Scott

I have one identical to yours. It has made a lot of parts over the years. You got a really good deal on that! I paid $400 25 years ago. I have manuals, etc. if you need them.

I used a watch crystal from Amazon glued into a recess on the brass tank end with gorilla super glue. It has been almost a year and a lot of hours running and it's still holding up fine - no leaks. I'm running Coleman fuel with a little WD-40.

I used the cast iron ring that came with the fastener and small parts set. Bore the cylinder straight and hone it with a brake cylinder hone. Make the piston .0005 smaller and it will have good compression. cheepo45 (Scott)
