    Building a model Drag Saw

Brian I was looking back through some of your builds and there it was. Take a look at your sawmill build and the way you engaged it, it might work better on this. Nelson

Goody How about a site we can go and see that saw and it's working. The industrial age brought out all kinds of invention. It just goes to show we are always looking for an easier way to do chores that must be done. I found the videos and they are all so very much alike with added features like...

    need help for 1st build

Ccfly I looked at the site Holzmann. The lathe for the 1000 €, they are very smallish and I do not think you could scale up at all. The lathe you should look for would be at least 3 foot/ 1000 mm between centers and able to turn at least a 5 inches/ 125 mm. Nelson

    Building a model Drag Saw

    Ford's First Engine

I have got a cast iron curve spoke wheel. The only thing is the wheel is about 4 foot high. I have entertained the idea to make this engine scaled up in all portions. I need to get off the pot and do something. Beautiful engine. Nelson

Brass Ball drill & Tap fixture

John I can not agree with you more about stock sticking out the wrong end of a lathe. I seen a video on U Tube about that: A CNC operator was starting a job, everything set to go and when he started the machine it started whipping and moving that big machine all over before the operator could...

Anatol I think the document was written in Europe and the lingo is differ than ours. I remember reading the word pinion and that is something in clocks. Quote: Root bending stresses of pinion and gear with different loading positions have been analyzed. Effects on root stresses due to...

    Building a model Drag Saw

Brian My brain is going faster than you can machine. Question: How are you going to connect the saw to the drive with the engagement lever where it is? I've always liked the drag saw and yours is looking to take shape. Enjoying it all. Nelson
