    Milling a slot

I had a bad habit of anticipating what might happen before starting and found more than not there was nothing to worry about. And furthermore it is just a piece of metal and there is always another one to start over. Good luck Nelson

    Milling a slot

Sometimes the subjects are so brief and lack of information of what is actually going to be done. There are many ways to skin a cat but if we do not have enough information how can we start. Sending you down a road with the info given so far is about worthless. You do not need a mill to make a...

    tool makers vise

I looked at te pics closer and I must agree with RM-MN. If the vise is square on all sides and does all it is needed to do then it is just a matter of looks. If you are just wanting a shiny new looking one maybe yo should have bought a new on to put marks on yourself. Marks do not take away from...

    Inventor wizard 6 Cyl Radial

That is one beautiful design with the square cylinders. I was wondering if you about the heat and just how hot it would become with the limited ventilation. There is not a lot of air coming of those spokes, I was just wondering if you give it any thought. I must say it is a sharp design being...

    Friction clutch for small engines

Brian I have been watching with quite a bit of fascination of the mechanics and the way you solve some of the problems. I was looking through some of my old files and ran upon my old Bolen mower and the clutch system on it, a lite bulb lit up. I was thinking in the idea of the center being a...

    Basic 2 stroke engine help

Isaiah It is an idea but it will never work. The size of the bearing and the cage are made to be a unit. You cut on it you will more than likely ruin the bearing. Nelson

    Building a model Drag Saw

Brian The only reason the saw dust falls on the back of cut is because the final teeth bearied in the log has the sawdust captive in the tooth and the log will not drop until it is out of the log on the return stroke. Beautiful, very nice job. Nelson

    Building a model Drag Saw

Brian Very nice build and it is all you wished. You mention how it was depositing saw dust to both sides of the log, that is normal because as the cutting stroke ends it has dust in each tooth that has not cleared the log carrying it in the back stroke and dropping it. A very nice video showing...
