    Mini diesel engine.

You are correct air is drawn in by the downward stroke of the piston on a 4 stroke Diesel engine. Or on any engine as far as that goes. But there is nothing there to allow it to build vacuum. Pretty sure in my 30 yrs of building Diesel engines omg it’s getting closer to almost 40 yrs now. I...

How do I model a supercharger rotor?

Talk about noise you should hear a duel blower setup on a EMD locomotive engine. BTW they are even bigger then a 14:71 blower. In notch 8 under load you can not even hear yourself think Thanks Tom

    Mini diesel engine.

I am wondering how you are getting air flow into the engine. Since a Diesel engine produces no vacuum at all due to the fact there is no throttle plate. A true Diesel engine has to have forced air. Thanks Tom

Can you use a vacuum table to hole it down. or 2 face 3m tape. I have had to use the 2 face tape method before on my mill for some Teflon pieces. You’ll want the 3M body molding tape it holds very well Thanks Tom

A new attempt at making piston rings

Brian Going back through the post I seen were you stated you had honed the cylinder smooth so you could run orings. Is it possible you have taken out all the crosshatch and the bore is to smooth you will never seat rings if the bore is to smooth. Maybe it’s time to look at all the basics first...

    endmill

God I wished I had the luxury of having CNC or have somebody repair the equipment I use that would be great. I would like to touch on the cleaning of mill or lathes. You might be correct to some extent about blowing metal in places it don’t belong. But don’t you think that brushing off the...

Put me in the ***** class I clean both my Lathes and my mill with compressed air at a reduced psi. As for the hacksaw yep I know how to use one but why would I use a hacksaw over a band saw or a portaband. I believe in letting my tools do the work for me. Work smarter not harder. Please excuse...
