    Head gasket

Anybody against using Indian head sealant on the head gaskets. Or permatex high tac in the spray have had great success with both of these. Also you do not want your surface to be a mirror finish you will be better off roughing it up with some 120 - 220 grit this will give the head gasket...

How to get a mirror finish on aluminum

Rocket man It’s called eye candy and is as old as dirt. This is what every used salesman use to sell anything used. This even applies to women from the beginning of time it’s called makeup for them. With good eye candy a lot of things are overlooked

Need sage advise of truing up Bridgeport style vertical mill.

How can you tram the head by moving the table up and down. (You can’t) Also if you’re expecting that type of a milling machine to provide accuracy to .0002 and stay there. Probably not going to happen. Even with a Bridgeport with scrape ways and brand new it’s accuracy is only expected to be...

Looking for input on a cylinder block corrosion issue.

Try wrapping some aluminum foil around the pump controller this is a sure way to tell if it’s EMI causing the problem

Looking for input on a cylinder block corrosion issue.

One other thing to mention it sounds like a dumb question but it’s really not. Are you sure your water pump is turning the right direction???

Not only does filling the radiator from the bottom help reduce air locks in the cooling system (if the system is plumbed correctly) By filling the radiator from the bottom the coolant actually stays in the radiator longer to aid In cooling. If you filled the radiator from the top it would run...

how to figure the off set to drill this hole at an angle

Question for everyone wouldn’t it be easier to scribe a line from the center of the part to the centerline of the holes. Around the diameter to connect all the holes??? The part is already on the rotary table so you can use it for the degrees, minutes, seconds. For the spacing between the holes...

Engine sucks but will not blow

Why not just put o-rings in place Of the piston rings and see what you get then turning the engine over by hand. Won’t need to fit new pistons or anything. It would be a real simple test to do. Would tell you there is a problem with the rings or ring lands on the piston. Of course would need to...
