    Hi All, Have been using this type of tanks for years in model engines, O&R 60 large port engine with tank. Tank only holds enough for about 2 mins run time. Pickup tube can be seen in second pic.

    Petertha, The one in the middle is for methanol only, they melt when used with petrol. The blockage could also be because of the oil used, some oils attack brass. Cheers Andrew

    Brian, That would do it, as the pressure in the crankcase builds up, it pushes the oil out every where, in cars it is usually any gasket, rocker cover usually. Shown in the pics is a Saito FG-17 running on 20-1 petrol/oil mix, as can be seen is the amount of oil being pushed out the crankcase...

    Brian, Do you have a crankcase vent? You never mentioned it in the build. It could be causing the oil problems as the crankcase has to vent somewhere. Cheers Andrew

    Brian, You were thinking about the grand kids when you designed the micky mouse ears(gear cover), it does look good and cleans up the gear set quite well. It is one area that lets down a lot of great looking engines. Keep up the great work, Still following along. Cheers Andrew

    Brian, I done the same thing when I was machining the heads for the twin I built. Mine a piece of round bar as it was to be held in chuck of lathe and dividing head, Pic shows in lathe machining the cooling fins, last operation. Cheers Andrew

    I have also built the OHC 17cc single, the drawings had mistakes in them in relation to dimensions not matching up. Cam in that one is at the same info level as the "V" twin.     Mechanicboy, they have very limited info on the cam angles, It has taken me 6 different cam grinds to get close to getting one to run correctly, and I am still working on it Cheers Andrew
