Love it, definitely on my "I have to build that some day" list. Absolutely beautiful.

    Ford 300 Inline Six

Beautiful work and documentation. I was wondering if the crank distorted any after bead blasting? I have had some major revelations after the seemingly trivial stress removal from bead blasting. Again thank you for all your posts.

    Mark's Bernay Engine

Thank you , I will order them. I was looking at page one of this thread and the piston guide/ packing gland was just sitting on the center of the block. I see my mistake now.

    Mark's Bernay Engine

Absolutely beautiful ! Where did you purchase the little pad sander? I have a praxxon like yours but haven't seen the pad sander. I noticed you added hold down bolts for the main bearing. It also looks like the lower cylinder caps are 1 piece, makes sense. What is the brass circular piece...

Hello From Behind The Redwood Curtain

I may be wrong , and probably am, but triple expansions run on steam only. hence the name triple expansion. Air doesn't do that.

    Atkinson engine

Fantastic you are a true owner of a Unicorn as far as I have read, like the guy that routinely actually uses his Quorn to sharpen an end mill. Congratulations ! what is all the liquid in the center? I think as an outside observer the CDI ignition helps as mentioned by Grim in another Atkinson...

As much as I enjoy the cnc parts the exhaust manifold is my favorite! It just sounds good sitting still. Thanks for all your work and sharing.

    Engine Valves

3 very important steps to small engine poppet valves /seat. Unless you have a perfectly! true collet or chuck the valve is best machined in one chucking. The valve seat must be true to the valve stem. Sounds obvious , but not trivial in practice. Finally the valve seat width must be very...

Golden Gate Live Steamers I am a member and also a BAEM member. If you want it finished and actually used on a track I think there are several active builders at GGLS.

    270 Offy

Beautiful work. Just being stupid here, almost all the rods I have seen, or made, are of the basic tapered I beam construction not round. I know you can make whatever you desire. Were the original Offy rods round? roundish? Just wondering. Thanks for all your input here.
