    35pounds thrust pulsejet(thermojet style)

Do you plan on putting an ignition system in it? I'll bet you go through a lot of sparklers. ;D

Looking for Jaws for my Hardinge 5" Chuck (3 jaws)

Strange, the Hardinge chucks I'm used to have removable/reversible jaws that bolt on from the front. I like to use soft jaws and bore them for the job at hand.

    .22lr Gatling project

Strange enough, I couldn't sell you this one if I wanted to. It's legal to build guns for ones own use, but you cannot build them to sell unless you have a mfg. license. Mark

    Roger's work shop

Nice set-up. You have a lot more capabilities than I do.

    New guy, first build

Thank you. I have an old Atlas lathe and a Bridgeport.

Wow, that looks very nice! I thought about buying the D&E plans just for the tripod drawings, but a friend offered to do the woodwork on the carriage so I'm going that route instead. Did you do the castings yourself?

Here's a crummy video of it running. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2q3Mapt-OE

A father and son build? In that case I have two sets of blanks I'll send you if you don't mind covering the shipping costs. I plan to buy my barrel liners from Brownells(link below). The tubing is available from many sources, but it's probably best to find a supplier in your area to avoid...

    Cutting a clean shoulder

I do it a similar way except once I have it roughed I finish the diameter first and then come back and feed down the face of the shoulder. A set of jewelers files and various stones are handy to have also.

    .22lr Gatling project

My Gatling started out as a group project with some guys at work. We were going to make 6 of them, but everyone else sort of petered out on me. I have a couple of sets of bolt carrier block and barrel plate blanks made from 17-4 left if they will help you get started. Also a breech plate blank...

Below is a link that has a list of known errors in the RG-G plans. When yours arrive I would go through and pencil in the corrections on your plans before starting. http://www.gatlinggunforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6

The plans aren't hard to follow, everything I've done so far is from bar stock. My barrels will be made from barrel blanks soldered into 1/2" tubing and them machined.

    New guy, first build

I added some oil-lite bronze thrust washers to hold the cylinder centered in the frame and another one between the frame and flywheel spacer. This freed up things quite a bit. I still need to machine the steam fitting and paint the base. Any suggestions for what color to paint the base and...

    New guy, first build

Well, I have it all together and it runs when I blow air in the inlet! It is a little tight and the flywheel runs out enough that I think I'll skim cut the OD and both faces while I have it off to drill a bolt circle pattern in it. I still need to make a steam fitting and a wider flywheel...

    Lathe and Mill?

I agree with Tin Falcon on getting seperate machines. The first machine I bought for my garage was a Smithy Granite 3in1. It was actually a pretty good little engine lathe, but an equally poor milling machine. The hassle of changing configuration from lathe to mill for set ups is also a pain.

    Stuart Beam restoration

Very nice work! I'm just getting started in these little engines, but a restoration like this looks like something I'd really enjoy doing. Do many old engines come up for sale on e-bay or elsewhere?

I'm sure there are restrictions in other countries as well, thanks for the post.

    .22lr Gatling project

Thanks for your concern, but hand cranked Gatlings of any caliber are perfectly legal to own and build(as far as the ATF is concerned, state laws may vary). They aren't considered a rifle, pistol, or automatic weapon, but rather a crew served weapon much like a cannon, which are also legal to...
