This engine was a long time in coming to fruition.

It was inspired by the grasshopper engine layout.

I firmly believe the reason why people are fascinated with steam engines over other engine types is that you can see all the moving parts. Therefore I wanted an engine with an excessive number of moving linkages, cams, etc.

It does run, but it leaks a lot of air. I blame this on me. I could improve it, but quite simply, I don't care anymore. It runs, that's good enough for me.

Plans will be in followup posts. But for now, here's some pictures and the video (it's blurry, but you get the idea):
