I got into machining when, Ray Clyde, a retired Master Machinist informed me about machine tools up for sale. Was such a bargain, we couldn't pass it up. Ray taught me all the safety rules and procedures. To learn how to use the machines (since I was a 60 year modeler, plastic cars and balsa planes), I decided to learn how to machine castings of model steam engines. With this site, I hope to never stop learning about machining.
