I am a semi-retired neurosurgeon who has been a frustrated mechanical engineer most of my life. My engineering inclinations have helped me greatly in my surgical work. Now I want to spend more time in the Manshed making steam driven machines.
Just finished a Stuart Score two cylinder machine and am in the process of rebuilding a Stuart 5A. I have the castings for a No 9 which I bought 30 years ago and am just beginning to unpack. My biggest project is the Stuart No 3 compound. Just finished the crankshaft which was quite a trial.
